Marketing In Action's (MIA) mission is to empower marketers and founders with actionable templates, frameworks, tools, and real-world insights that drive sustainable growth.
I founded MIA in May 2024, and it was born out of frustration with the lack of actionable marketing resources. After years of being the first, and sometimes only marketing hire in multiple startups, I decided to create the resource I wish I had from the start—a platform that simplifies marketing for founders and marketers.
The MIA community has grown into a thriving space where marketers and founders can connect, share knowledge, and grow together. We are active on the MIA Substack Newsletter and Substack Chat, MIA LinkedIn Group, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
We have four major publications:
- Marketing In Action: Our major publication features step-by-step guides, templates, and resources in Notion, Google Docs, and Google Sheets that help marketers and founders put marketing theory into practice.
- Marketers — T, M & π Shaped: First-hand insights and interviews with marketers, sharing their diverse experiences and expertise in driving growth and innovation.
- Marketing-Led Growth: Deep dives into the marketing strategies of founders across different industries, exploring how they drive product success, market expansion, and GTM efforts.
- MarTech: A curated list of marketing products, tools, affiliate perks, and opportunities like demo days and hackathons for marketers and founders to explore and leverage.
In addition to our regular publications, MIA releases three annual marketing reports:
- African SaaS Marketing Report: A comprehensive analysis of marketing trends, growth strategies, and challenges faced by SaaS companies across Africa.
- MIA Next 30 Marketers List: A spotlight on the next wave of influential marketers making significant impacts in the industry.
