If you asked me “Tell me about yourself”.

My name is James Praise. I say a lot of things on the internet under the moniker “Realjaymes”. My newsletters and bite-sized videos are themed “RealTalk”.

What’s real? What are we talking about? And most importantly, who is James?

You see, historically, there has been an identity crisis among those who bear the name James.

For nearly a century, Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig have all made compelling arguments about who really embodied James, or Bond, or James Bond. I propose that all seven (or 007) of them have been as real or authentic as the actor currently portraying Ian Fleming’s fictional MI6 agent.

If we were to judge by how well they introduce themselves as James Bond, I’d give the crown to Sean Connery. He was the first and the best. I mean see for yourself:

Now this should answer our questions.

What’s real, and what are we talking about?

I’m sharing everything I know about marketing, productivity, and personal growth—templates, AI-assisted tools, book reviews, mental models, frameworks, and community—all in one place.

I have generally found that the fastest way to get things done is with templates that are based on frameworks, so I create and share templates that will be useful to others executing similar use cases both in life and in business.

I am not a guru or an expert with all the answers, but a friend and a brother who wants to help. I share fundamentals that have helped me make sense of all kinds of systems in life, and I am also doing this to give my kids leverage, so they can be better than me when they grow up.

I also infrequently dabble into social issues like religion, politics and ethnicity—because these are quite sensitive topics.

Who is James?

A lot of famous men have donned the James first name, from James Avery to James Blunt, to James Brown, to James Cameron, to James Cook, and even James Zebedee. However, none of these men carried a last name that suggested praising James if their first names were written last. Well, I do. My name is James Praise.

I may have done one or two things in my lifetime that are actually worthy of praise, but this also begs the question, why should you praise James by default? So here I am on a path to do and to be James, worthy of Praise.

At the moment, I build, I write, I speak, I teach, and I mentor. These are channels through which I am adding value. I am also trying to democratize common sense by writing, speaking, and teaching.

I invite you to join me on this adventure, and if you've made it this far, hit that subscribe button to secure your front-row seat in this unfolding movie.

My name is James Praise. I’m not perfect. But I’m real—and I have ideas worth sharing.
